    No, No, No... Woody was never "anti-communist" as in Socialist. He was anti Fascist !... as in can you say "Neo-liberal"? or Bankster? or Free Market Economy? or Baine Capital? ..... all the same thing.

    I too remember this time period in the heart of San Gabriel valley. My parent's home in Monrovia was taken because of the 210 freeway construction and we had to move to north Monrovia. Our Drag racing days started on Huntington Drive (Route 66) thru the streets of Arcadia and San Marino. Hastings drive-in and Bob's Big Boy in Pasadena were were our grudge races were arranged. Eventually we grew up and took our racing to Pomona, Irwindale, Fontana, Colton, Riverside and most often Long Beach's Lions. And, annually to the March meet in Bakersfield. Good to have these memories and great to have this forum to link our pasts. Dick
