[IMG]John Patterson owned this beauty in the early 1950’s. The car is a 33 or 34 Ford roadster with unique rear fenders that were said to be two '40 Ford rears welded together on each side.

I think you mean Post 57,536, but no prob. Glad you like the photo; they had a cool 'rodding scene in Winfield back in '56 - '58:cool:, judging from this series of pix. You are right, Rocky. This was done on SO many streets at night (usually) and on innumerable back roads!!! (Did where I was from.)

(Some more pix of such nefarious hooligan:D activity, I think, are over on the "Lost Drive-In Restaurants" thread.)

I loved 1/2 mile and short track (1/4 mile oval for you car only guys) at Ascot and Corona. I bought some parts off of Kretz' shop back in the 80's when I was doing the MX thing.

Creedence Clearwater Revival came from El Cerrito Ca, Close to Oakland. They recorded their first album as the Golliwogs. The big hit off their album was "Brown Eyed Girl". Seen them Quite a few times. Always Good.

The Octoauto was an eight wheel car created by Milton O. Reeves, using a 1910 Overland and four more guncart-style wheel. Over 20 feet long, Reeves claimed that by having eight tires, each tire lasted longer.’

  16. You can laugh all you want to, but something like this could have kept a lot of cars from developing premature rust-out in towns where they use salt in the winter.:):)

Isn't that The Rifleman's gun in the back? Lucas McCain's defender of justice? Though the other toys look more 40s-50's.

I had one of those. I think it was something like $6 or $8 and a few box tops.

Temporarily perhaps, remember paved roads were few and they called belly pans 'sod pans'.
