I wonder if they played Stilwell (which is my county seat).

    I'm almost certain they did.

Here's my grandmother working as a civilian at Fort Chaffee, she was there when the famous "Elvis getting a Army haircut" photos were taken.

Do they still have summer camps for kids?

Looks like trouble here, still the same way 60+ years later.

31 Dodger Did I get the date wrong on this picture?I can't tell if that is sarcasm in your post.I usually just post the date or info that I find with the photo if there is any.If not then your right that humpback is beaten up pretty good.:D

  17. Ester Eddie, I don't think he's being sarcastic, just stating what I was also thinking. The Dodge panel truck would only be 2 years old in 1938. It sure had a rough life if the date on the picture is correct. Lots of times the photo info isn't correct, but I don't see anything in the picture to date it any later. Even if it's early 40's the poor panel still had a rough life.

  19. My sister and brother-in-law live there, and we grew up sailing the San Juan and Gulf islands every summer - I'd love to live there if I could afford it.

Do you have a bigger copy of this shot? I am trying to read the town listed in the star. Thanks in advance.
