    Actually, before the Hawk, there already was a stylish 21st century car without fins..............the '53-55 Studebaker!!

    I never really noticed that before. My first comment was regarding a partial photo of the Hawk roof line and wrap around rear window, very nice...Anyway, besides owning 2 Studebakers long ago, a 56 President and a 19?? bullet nose Champion (with suicide doors) I've always liked them...don't really know why.

    Those are way cool.
    You call them border coaches (why?). We put chrome RV wheel covers on them and call them limosines.

    Border Coaches was the firm that operated the vehicles in the photos.

    This style of vehicle was referred to as a "Service Car", but would now be called a limosine. Service cars were used by many firms, mostly for longer distance transport with limited numbers of passengers.
