  7. I would venture to say that it is a 32 Cadillac. The 32 Chevy had 4 vent doors, I had one, but it was also known as the baby Cadillac because it looked so much like it's older sibling.

    Do you know anything about this photo?
    where it came from etc
    Was trying to read the name on top of the hood.
    Looks like it says Va on the hood ,but I cant make out the name before that.
    This photo might have been taken in my neck of the woods.

    this particular picture is actually an XP-82 Twin Mustang 44-83887, currently in the Walter Soplata collection. http://www.airspacemag.com/history-of-flight/soplata.html the Switch from P (Pursuit) to F (Fighter) designation came when the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF) became the USAF in '47. prior to that there was no 'fighter' nomenclature. P82's then became F82's. 82 being model number and not related to 51's in terms of naming. It also has the distinction of being last last American piston-engine fighter.
