It looks like a forerunner to Lady Penelope's luxoliner in The Thunderbirds

Right, Mart. With ya on that.;) Though we ALL try and share info in the modern age, we still have to be considerate of original posters' rights and preferences. I've always just tried (though, I sometimes just lose track of where I got something, to be truthful:eek:) to give as specific credit as I can. I figured, if somebody does object to my "borrowing" or sharing their (credited) item on the HAMB, well, I'd just take it down and apologize for the intrusion. I've never had one person complain. To the contrary, a couple of guys whose photographic work I admired actually posted more of their own favorites on another HAMB thread I'd started. Treat people the way you'd want to be treated.

Yup, live and let live isn't a bad philosophy at all.

Check this out.:D The '57 Skyliner BEFORE it got the official name! The great car guy Alden Jewell of the FlickR community posted this with the following comment: "I believe this is a very early piece on this car, probably before the Skyliner name had been selected. I think I also have an early brochure that uses the name 'Hide-Away' rather than Skyliner."

1934 Terraplane DeLuxe Six Sedan, thanks to an original post by Alden Jewell of FlickR. I
think this may just be the prettiest herringbone grille of the '30s (Dillinger liked it too!:D).

Did some reading on this the first time it was posted and I think this particular plane NC19905? crashed and burned in Cambodia in the 70s, The ex Hughes/ Cosmic Muffin was NC19904.

I thought that location looked familiar.

Its on 7th. street, just north of Camelback rd. The little strip mall is still there but the old A frame Whataburger building is long gone.

  24. Isn't that 36 Ford a rare factory issue? I know there is a Model A at Petit Jean Museum that apparently came that way from Fomoco. They were meant to be a poor man's town car during the early days of the depression.

"One of a series of photographs found in an envelope labelled ”persons selling tickets, Barrack St Sydney”. The unauthorised sellers have shrewdly set themselves up outside the State Lotteries Office. This photograph presumably taken without the subjects’ knowledge."
