^^^Interesting pic of what has to be Lombard St. No houses on the left when the pic as taken.

Here are a couple of never seen before pics I found at my Mom's house. Old Family pics. My Grandad's brother, who we knew as "Uncle Len" emigrated to Canada, and this is one of his shots showing a place he lived at, with a couple of interesting cars outside.

And here's one of Uncle Len's wife, taken at Mt Washington on what he describes as "One of our US trips".

Not many family snaps with cars in, sorry to say.

    Mart.

  5. Ah, it seems family memories are not all that reliable, pulled the Fairlane tag off the photo.

Yes. I suspect the photo was taken in the LaQuinta area. Ike frequented that area and played golf there. There are a lot of things and streets named Eisenhower in that community.

...and this is just one of the reasons why this is such a greast thread! Here's a couple photos by Tucker designer Alex Tremulis of his wife, Chrissie, at the exact same spot. At this time, Tremulis was designing all sorts of wild and wacky concept cars for Ford's Autorama shows. It's a small world!

  18. Bottom photo could very well be Owens Valley but top photo is of Yosemite Valley. Foreground is of the Merced River, Glacier Point is on the right and El Capitan is on the left.

It looks like a sedan delivery got cut up to make a camper in the bottom picture.

I must say, the red Valiant is very sharp without the B-pillar. Is this a Signet series? Can't tell. Of course, most, non b-pillar cars looked great. Nice image.

I missed the photo where they were holding a gun to his head to make him drive them around.

There's a photo of Reeves' house, probably in the book TV Babylon, that shows that '59 Olds parked in the driveway. Haven't been able to find it online, though.
