Fun ny, I was just talking about this Lambretta this morning. It was auctioned off for $600 when Movieland Wax Museum closed down. I was stuck in traffic and missed the auction.

I watched this part of the move in 1947,---I was 15.
Later Dad drove us down to watch H.H. fly it 15 ft. off the San Pedro/Long Beach harbor.
Then the Govt. paid H.H for designing & building this plywood monster,---By proving it would actually fly!
Of course by then, the project was obsolete.

More goodies. A while back I got a copy of the October 1957 El Automovil de Cuba, a magazine for mechanics, because it had an article on maintenance of the new Edsel. Little did those mechanics know how long they would have to maintain those Edsels! Anyway, here are some of the ads and the comics page:

I stole this pic from the HAMB. Someone, maybe Ray(Safariknut), posted the pic, looking for the car. I believe his name was Grasso, originally from Mass. Picture was taken in Florida.

My first car was a 37 Chevie Sedan so at SoCal car events I always got a big boot out of lowrider 37's. Some meets I recall clearly were at Angelo's on State College in East Anaheim in the 80's.
