Did she also at one point go by "Janet" Munro?

  2. Nope.... Janet Munro was born in 1934, Caroline in 1949.

Hey Jimi. I knew you had something up your sleeve when you asked that Pontiac V8 question. Nice history. Thanks for the lesson.

Hey ther, John! THANKS for clearing my old brain. I thought there was a connection, but it was a goose chase!

Not my personal sleeve, bro. The auto history is now on the 'net, and it's FASCINATING. I'm no brainiac, just addicted. And the HAMB:cool: is a hell of a place to find answers -- whether researching something, OR you're SERIOUSLY looking to solve a TECH question about a REAL-WORLD build you're doing with vintage parts. One of the reasons I'm a HAMB member (and no other forum) is that you can ask an honest question. 95 percent of people will share -- for free -- their hands-on knowledge AND without looking down on you for not already knowing the answer.

As for the Pontiac V-8, there are guys out there who'd disagree with the details. Viva la diff. It just sends us all digging deeper for facts, as far as old engines like that!

Hmmmm! I WONDER about Henry Ford's "X" engine.

Esquire magazine premiering '36 cars. Just FUN to turn back the clock
and see them as people saw them NEW, just coming on market!

  7. I also didn't get a response back when I submitted a question to tech support. My only irk was that I had not had a problem with bitmap prior to the other day...and most of my images in the Library are black boxes as opposed to nice photos.

  13. The 55/56 Merc is near the top of the photo - all I can really ID is the fancy bumperettes and bumper guards. The car looks greenish blue to my eye. The blue Corvair wagon and the white 55 Chevy are below it, with a car or two pancaked in between the rows.
