  1. Thought this was stupid, then I thought, what a cool idea!! Especially up in the North-East, get rid of all the freakin' salt. And another cool way for idiots to screw up thier car, flooded ignition, washed out carbs, accidents in the waves, great stuff, love it!!-MIKE:D:p

Hill St downtown Los Angeles, 300 miles from Nevada test site.

An A-bomb blast set off in Nevada at 4:36 a.m., on April 18, 1953, was judged by early risers to have been the most sensational of any seen so far. The blast made the eastern horizon as "bright as day."

I've got a 1932 South Bend lathe. I called the company, and a nice lady sent me 3 pages of specs, all sealed in plastic! (free)
Guess they're still going...the main company...

Looks like Norm G's T was being trailered somewhere. Sure looks like Upland to me.

Or Sunland, where I remember he lived...wonder if that is his father's Cad, the one he got the motor out of after he convinced the Cad dealer that the sedan needed a new engine...

That's it, Sunland. Hilly area north-northeast of Burbank. I'll bet you're right about the Cad.

Rheingold was the best. What they make today is not Rheingold. It is produced in a brewery where the same beer is bottled under different brand names on different days of the week.

Amazed at how many Kaisers are showing up in these pix. I can't recall ever seeing one (locally) when I was a kid. Maybe its' a mid-west thing?

I agree – it’s not the Rheingold I grew up on! (Remember chug-a-mug’s??) Not only does it cost as much as Heineken it doesn’t taste right! :(
