I've got a 1932 South Bend lathe. I called the company, and a nice lady sent me 3 pages of specs, all sealed in plastic! (free)

Or Sunland, where I remember he lived...wonder if that is his father's Cad, the one he got the motor out of after he convinced the Cad dealer that the sedan needed a new engine...

 

That's it, Sunland. Hilly area north-northeast of Burbank. I'll bet you're right about the Cad.

 

Rheingold was the best. What they make today is not Rheingold. It is produced in a brewery where the same beer is bottled under different brand names on different days of the week.

 

Amazed at how many Kaisers are showing up in these pix. I can't recall ever seeing one (locally) when I was a kid. Maybe its' a mid-west thing?

 

I agree – it’s not the Rheingold I grew up on! (Remember chug-a-mug’s??) Not only does it cost as much as Heineken it doesn’t taste right!
