For Memorial Day I thought I would post these photos of people that never saw battle but sacrificed so much to win the war.

 

I'm not old enough to remember scrap drives, rubber drives, meat shortages and gas rationing but I thank those that did it.

Here's one of the old man with his first wheels, probably 1954. He still remembers that this was the light blue Champion, and he racked up a few miles on this puppy. Wishes he still had it, too.

The transport truck and cars may be real.
The headlights don't look right and the top doesn't fit the windshield correctly.

 

I'm guessing it is a picture of models done by this guy...
