Vintage shots from days gone by!

Probably around 63-4 when she first came to San Francisco, she wasn't that bad I guess. Though, like you said, the very severe drug carousel that eventually claimed her was not kind to her looks.
BUT! With that voice like no other, such power pure perfection, I honestly find her looks far distant second to the music!

The third X-1 (46-064), known as “Queenie,” is mated to the EB-50A (46-006) at Edwards AFB, California. Following a captive flight on November 9, 1951, both aircraft were destroyed by fire during de-fueling.
