The late great Islip Speedway, featured on Wide World of Sports for it's Figure 8 races started by Larry Mendelson,the promoter and the Demolition Derby's. Some of the greatest Modified racing ever was done on this little bull ring by the best shoes in the business. Cup drivers ran there a few times also.

 

The transition period when Falcons, Corvairs, Gremlins started replacing coupes and coaches. Early to Mid 70s.
