  1. Shelby driveing for Ferrari. Enzo Ferrari was quoted as saying he should not have to pay people to drive his race cars, people should pay him for the honor.

btw- if any of you can help me use the picture in post 77869 as my avatar I'd appreciate it.

Thanks for all these great pictures and memories.

    ---------------
    I've never seen Lincoln headlight
delete plates either. I know that
in the U.S, in 1957 when a few
    manufacturers started offering
    quad 5 4/4 inch headlight set-ups,
on some models, that they weren't
yet legal in all U.S States and the
manufactures had to offer the option
of dual 7-inch headlights for cars sold
in those states. I don't know ff Cuba
had any such regulations in 1957
banning the new quad headlights (or
that they would have been enforced
at all, even if there had been some legal
    technicality forbidding them). But I've
also never seen any similar headlight
delete plates on a U.S '57 Lincoln either.
Not that I've ever seen a whole lot of '57
Lincolns though or made a study of
them. Can anybody shed any 'light' (pun
intended:D) on these delete plates?? Were
similar ones to these used on U.S models
sold in certain states. or are these
particular ones perhaps a design unique
to the Cuban market?? Inquiring minds
    NEED to know!!:)

Note the radiused and flared rear wheel openings on the yellow '47 Chevy - remains of an old drag racer?
