Going back to previous posts... articles like the one linked below hit the web for some reason today. About a submarine launched Japanese sea plane that actually bombed the west coast. Gary

The caption says that this picture exists on page 225 of the book "Archives d'une passion" (Archives of a passion) by Antoine Rafaëlli, published by Maeght Éditeusr in 1997.

1stGrumpy's offering shows a young woman with Elvis in a publicity still from the movie "Loving You". The actress is Dolores Hart (Dolores Hicks) she made several films and was quite successful. I believe she even won a Tony Award. In 1963 she left acting to become a Roman Catholic nun at the Benedictine Abbey of Regina Laudis in Bethlehem, Connecticut. She today is known as Rev. Mother Dolores Hart. Oddly from what I have heard she is still a voting member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Interesting woman.

This photo is Wichita, Kansas I believe. The Skaer Hotel is what gives it away. I don't remember a Petroleum Building there however. There is a Petroleum Building in Tulsa, but it doesn't quite look like that.

I grew up in Wichita. There was an OTASCO store about 3 blocks away from me in Seneca Square shopping center. It was on the wing with Dillons Supermarket and Dockum's Drug Store.
