I don't know if they are open but a newer building is still there. It looks like it would be open at night, I only go by during the day.

  2. Just out side San Antonio, Bracken Texas. Best burgers to this day!;)

The closest one to us closed in the late '70s. The location is a Home Depot now.

  6. One of my favorite spots, Mclean, Illinois. Old Rt66.
It was a dump in the "90's, but new owners have it back to snuff.

Really liked this "little old lady pic" posted awhile back. Struck home. Less than a mile from me lives another little old lady with a light blue Buick more door of the same era. Truly a garage kept Sunday go to meeting car! Don't see this much anymore. Drives around the Arlington/Stanwood WA. area. A belated welcome back to SouthUrn and thanks to all who picked up the slack during his absence.

    Merry Christmas to all, John

In order to keep balance in the Universe, we need to post some of these photos to offset some of the shots of beautiful women. :D

That's the Dixie Trucker's Home! Famous place, they had two sides to the restaurant. One was the tourist side, the other was the trucker's side.

Sad to hear the Diamonds is gone.

I lived about three miles away from there a few years ago.

Interesting to watch the video to see the basic manufacturing techniques employed to build what would eventually become the iconic American sportscar.
The lack of basic PPE for the workers using organic chemicals makes you feel a bit queasy - no masks or gloves to reduce the transfer into their bodies. Mind you, many of them probably smoked, which is probably just as bad.
My wife and I visited the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green a week ago. It was very interesting, and while not traditional rodding fare, is certainly worth a visit for those with a wider automotive interest. :)
    Thanks for posting the link.
Merry Christmas to all in the HAMB community. Take care and enjoy yourselves. :D:D

The wisdom of putting that baby carriage on the left side, exposed to on-coming traffic---real bright.
