Well, the old Chevy was going left to right on the one way street. The '60 Pontiac was going from upper right to lower left on the crossing street (in the picture).

One of them ran the red light.

 

I wonder if Rochester ever drove this, or did he stick with the Maxwell

Georgia Peach on left, does anyone know who the man on right side of pic is? Pic was dated 1909

Uhhhh.........I think we lost him again.
South urn is quiet again. No pictures posted, no disparaging remarks, not a peep.
I see too his name is removed from the community list today.
I will miss his pictures (and other contributions).

 

My first project hot rod, around 1962 when I was a freshman at good ol' WHS.
I didn't have enough tools to fill a tote tray.
1940 Pontiac coupe receiving a 303" Olds engine that I bought from Aberjoma Auto Parts in Woburn.
I though I was hot stuff then. LOL.

My guess is that the chassis shown in your picture is one and the same as the one in the post by mart at page 4486, post 89705.

All of the detail features on the chassis are the same . Also looking at the street scene it is clear there was some manoeuvring that took place at the site as evidenced by the tyre tracks on the roadway in your picture. I suspect the roadway corner is opposite to that depicted in marts picture given the kerbing features are similar.

I also wonder if this is North Melbourne. South Melbourne is generally a flat landscape not like mart's picture at all.

That photographer's notes were usually a bit better (usually; 'Men Assembling a Motor Car, Moorabbin,... ' got me excited - to have found CKD 203s! - but it's a Simca ...)

Still have lots of questions myself;
AEC, Daimler or Leyland chassis, CAC/Comair, Ansair/Flxlble or who - for M&MTB or who, and
the lie of the land and residential/industrial use before my time and so much redevelopment

 

XK150s, XK140s, various Jag sedans, 190SL, 300SL, etc..

 

i worked as a photographer at CAC who built Comairs,this is not one of theirs all the bus images were done in front of the hangers,plenty room and hight RW

 

wow; far back RW? would the ones with Mustang and Bedford production lines side by side be yours? the Cicada
radial? the Mirage?
