  9. Interesting to see that our Grand Parents still sometimes needed a loan just to fuel up a hundred years ago. Handy the loan office is next door though. Could be a new business model for the local C-Store, just in case your ATM card gets rejected (again).:)

  21. Love the "Rosie" Pictures. A time when KID'S didn't have time for hot rods, they were too busy fighting a war. One of the most important times in our lives. Thanks!!

    Puzzled by the push truck, is it a Brewster custom body, or ???
     
  24. I believe that was the shop pickup built for the Southern Californian Plating Company. This was a support vehicle at Legion Ascot Speedway in L.A.

    He also built another shop vehicle for the Atlas Chrome Plating Company based on a 29 with '34 fenders and grille . See link . They also ran a car at the speedway in those days. It is depicted in some of those pictures in that group . All were built by Frank Kurtis.

    Love those old Kodachrome pix!----Wonder if this B-25 pix is at the old North American Aviation plant in El Segundo,Ca.??

    I like the way the engines are marked with a number and whether they are right hand or left hand in the top pic above.
