Could it be Del Mar... or maybe Pomona? at the horse tracks

 

Outstanding! Needs smaller front tires, and a chop, but for such an early time in Hotrodding this guy was on the right track.

 

Is this where the term Doorslammer came from....?????

 

Looks a bit of a handful to get off the line, but jeez, I bet it's quick!!

 

I think it said they were at the old Michigan State Fairgrounds racetrack.
