    I'm 63. The first one I ever pulled was with a chain fall (keep the chains off the fenders) but it was my friends garage and he put a beam across at about the center of the garage so you would be mostly under cover.

    That doesn't look like any US equipment I've ever seen but I know less than nothing about what exactly was loaned/leased.

    I could only go by the caption. Great photo though, it was certainly being tested.

    Like you, my knowledge of Lend Lease is limited. My thoughts/guesses were, it would have had British, or even Canadian heritage.

    Hopefully, someone will know and pass on the details.

    Three ANTARS were used on the Snowy Mountain Scheme.

    Originally, two petrol engined, they were converted to diesels, like the third one, and, sadly, were crushed when they were no longer required:
