    Crushed. Clay design exercises usually ended up that way. If it went to metal and wasn't approved for production, crushing was guaranteed.

    Box Hill looking SW.
    Big building in the middle is the Town Hall on Whitehorse Rd, with the suburban train line to Melbourne behind it.
    I can see the old movie theatre to the right, on the corner of the street I grew up in.

    The location was on the corner of Station Street and Canterbury Road, Box Hill. The year the photo was taken is 1950. The buses in the photo are CAC Bedford OB models. Built from 1946 till 1952. The Ventura Bus Company moved from the Box Hill Depot to the Oakleigh Depot in 1957.

    Wow....the day's before 'headache racks' were daunting!....and the short-reach trailer is awkward...tough drivers they were!
