  3. Early 60's dune buggy. You took a 50's car, cut the frame to a short wheelbase, this guy set back the motor (pretty deluxe), made a roll bar, overinflated regular tires...AND GO!!!

    Wow! Just a great bunch of photos today - thank you!!
    I keep looking for my old '49 Fleetline in those L.A. shots of the mid-late 50's, haven't seen it yet but love the old memories.

    I drove by this location just last week. Admiral Wilson blvd in Camden NJ headed west toward Philadelphia. The big square building that seems to be jutting out into the road and the buildings with the water towers on them are still there, abandoned and empty but still standing. They were the Hollingshead chemical company back in the '50s. Just east of here was the very first drive in movie theater, located on Airport Circle.
