With bright yellow paint and nicely painted lettering, the Motor City Dragway signage always stood out well in photographs. The front gate at Dover dragstrip had a ticket booth with a very short list of demands: Pay $2 for general admission and don’t bring alcohol into the facility. The action at Dover Drag Strip was always worth the price of admission. Big-time match races were common, but the regular racing program offered plenty of excitement.
