Vintage shots from days gone by!

Tom Mix and his famous horse Tony. Ugh, wait a minute, that looks more like Tom's Lincoln Touring Car...

 

That car makes him look so short - 5'8" is an inch shorter than me, he looks 5'2" in this photo.

 

Not as rare in Canada - the three "non-Wide Track" Pontiacs are a giveaway. The only Vauxhalls we officially got here were Victors, sold in the US by Pontiac until the Tempest took over as their compact.

 

She still has a profile up on Classmates (source of this photo) but it doesn't mention her "notoriety" on the H.A.M.B. for some strange reason...

I see someone else has spotted the PA Cresta in this photo, and I'm guessing this maybe Canada....?? Very surprised to see one of these!

The photo can be dated by the film being shown in the cinema to the left...633 Squadron, which premiered in the USA/Canada on June 24th 1964.

 

No way in hell Tom Mix was 6 ft tall. ( as his bio says) Look at that photo....AND he's in boots and a cowboy hat to make him look taller. If he were any shorter he'd be a midget.
