  1. I may be a lot younger than James Garner, but that man is seriously yummy.

You know, I don't swing "that way" but he was a good looking guy.
He deserved better than to have to drive a frick'n Firebird!
Miss Hardy wasn't too bad looking either.

You realize the Firebird was part of a TV show about a fictional character and not what Garner drove in real life don't you? I recall seeing him one time in Westwood in the '60's driving an XKE roadster. He did like cars!

  5. He was just driving a basic Firebird and a brown one for that matter. He (or a stunt driver)sure could make that car move though.

  7. No man it was real. And he really did live on the beach and kept the same stupid friend who got him in trouble all the time and his dad was really the smart one too.

    It was REAL man.

  9. First movie I saw James Garner in was Cash McCall - I think some pics of cars & planes were posted not to far back in this thread.

Last movie I saw Garner in was The Notebook. One of the great flicks of our time.

And there is also The Ultimate Gift - which we viewed in our church with the kids.

Helluva actor. From the time I saw him in Cash McCall, I started dressing like him, and acting like him.

I thought he was cool as hell.

Yep - I used to know an old LA hot rodder/mechanic named Ray Cash who told me he souped up Garner's wife's '63 Coupe deVille back in the day; after Ray died several years ago I was cleaning out his office and found an engraved notecard from Mrs. Garner with a handwritten note thanking him for the work.
