    Bettie had a gift for teasing without coming off trashy. The '50s
    wer a time when you had to go easy on "alure," and she was one
    of the best. Maybe those who say "They don't make 'em like that
    anymore, and, "the old way was better" are right! She had a ter-
    rible childhood, during which she was abused. Yet she managed
    to make the most of her gifts, even managing a good sense of
    humor through her adult life. She only passed away this last spring.
    It's worth taking the time to read about the life of this beauty who
    ALSO had a brain.

    This is the building today listed as the location in the ad above...of Roth and Baron

    here it was in 1959 with Ed himself standing there. Later the building was added onto on the north and south sides, but you can still see the old doors
