Didn't this guy also put together a stagecoach that he used to drive at freeway speeds back and forth to Ohio?

Found some pics on another site. I'll lift the best ones and share them here. I won't post anything I think I may have seen before. Mart.

  19. yes mart that is a jap harley. with the depression in full swing harley needed cash. they spent a bunch of money gambling on the new over head valve engine nick named the knuckle head. with the knuckle head design proving successful harley sold the older bikes tooling to japan. the bike pictured is very cool for several reasons. its called a vl. the bike is a big twin flat head. for a war bike it has several cool options. it has a rear stand and a very rare front stand. there is a speedo on the tank and a rack on the rear fender. for some reason it has a early vl fender on the rear and a newer skirted fender on the front. the bike has a rare lss ( left sided side car). they are just like the right sided side cars but in a complete mirror image. nothing inter changes with a right sided set up. after ww 2 harley sold pan head tooling to japan to restore its bike industry. they had a tank emblem that said rikuyu. there are a lot of hard core harley riders out there that talk smack about the jap bikes. in my town for years on labor day they revved a new jap bike till it blew up. then they threw it off the roof and sold tickets to smash it with sledge hammers. they are shocked to find out if it was not for the japs buying harleys old tooling there may not have been a harley after the depression. harley was that close to going bankrupt. go down eight photos and another vl is shown this time in america.

1486893524709.jpg Earlier there was posted a couple of Red Sovine albums recorded at Starday Studios. Here's their Econoline van that used to run around town. The building still stands, but on the endangered species list.
Also,Col.Tom Parker's house (Elvis mgr) was set to be torn down for a car wash, but has been halted for now.
