    Olds p.u. that the late Dee Wescott of Boring Oregon built from a 53 Olds 88 sedan that was totaled in a crash just a few months after the car was bought new..[​IMG][​IMG]

  2. It is now. it was started in Portland by Bob Farrell and a partner. It was sold to Marriott Corp. in 1972 (not sure who owns it now). My first real job at 15 was scooping ice cream at the Washington Square Farrell's...and yes, DDDenny, the Portland Zoo had a slab of every flavor they served, topped with every topping they had, plus whipped cream, nuts and maraschino cherries (it was kind of gross, but they sure sold a ton of them, kids palates aren't too picky). The Pikes Peak was a smaller version with a more amenable flavor mix.
