One to salute RodZombie's avatar at Halloween! Somebody
needs to tell Boris K. those coffin nails can kill him! (Oh, wait,
the Frankenstein Monster is made out of dead bodies anyway!
LOL). This is Karloff during a shooting break for "Bride of
Frankenstein," 1935. Being British, he'd have a spot of tea
with his smoke. Photo is THANKS to slamhype.com!!!

for a tobacco company! Somebody correct me, but did
I read recently that son, Michael, is battling a lung
    ailment? Photo THANKS to burbanked.com!

In character or in real life, Peter Lorre was
another fella who rarely was without a cig.

I remember the car shows there. Is it just me or were they better back at the Civic Arena than they are now at David Lawrence Conv. Ctr.? Even though the arena was smaller it seems like it had a better atmosphere for the custom car shows. Are you old enough to remember when the custom car show was at the Hunt Armory in Shadyside/East Liberty ?

What the story with the F-86 Doug? Everyone pictured is in civilian attire, so perhaps the photos was taken during test flights?

Graham, I'm guessing it was during it's testing days at North American Aviation.

The plane in the background has a barrel (probably for fuel) beside it. It would make you think they were being readied for a ferry flight to new owners as the markings have been removed. They may also be CL-13 Mark 6 Sabres by the looks of the slats on the leading edge of the wing.
