I've seen this chrome treatment on the front end of 37s and some 36s only in old pics. Was it an option you could purchase at the dealer? Any pics in the present?

I remember the first time I saw Bullitt I commented to myself that the driver of the Charger was a way better driver then the one in the Mustang, that and the fact the Mustang never once downshifts.

 

If I'm not mistaken, the chrome treatment you are referring to was an accessory from a company called Pines. They also made an accessory for the early Fords called a Pines Winterfront which was added to the Fords in the winter to ensure they would run warm enough to enable the heater. They were pretty stylish IMHO.

The begining of GM's tail lights in the bumpers. Took till 1970 to put them in production.

 

Looks more like UNDER the bumper for me.

 

I just saw a 36' [I think] at a show sunday with the chrome, looked pretty good in person..
