Len Sutton actually qualified this car on the last day of Time Trials and was on the bubble as time was running out only to be bumped out of the field by Ebb Rose in Foyt's backup Watson. Sutton had also been bumped earlier on that Sunday in his regular Leader Card ride after accepting a slow time on Saturday. Quite a letdown for a driver who had finished 2nd a year earlier.

AJ Watson said, Len forgot how to drive. He was replaced by Don Branson for the rest of the season.

See the thread on Sprint Cars on this place.

  7. I like the house car too, but I don't know how you could ever drive it, even then. It has license plates on it, but how would you ever see out of it. I would love to have it and take it to a "T" meet.

I love pictures of freedom, pretty soon your kids will have to wear a hockey helmet in order to eat a bowl of cereal.

In late 1936, one of the designers in GM's Truck Studio produced this amazing bus concept rendering . The producers of the Buck Rogers' series could have easily used it in one of their films.

I've ridden many times in the bed of my dad's pick up as a kid. It was usually when my parents would go to the small farm they had outside of town and they would let me take a friend along. We would have to drive a ways on the freeway as well. One time we had slouched down down below the bed rails so no one could see us back there. We had several boxes of cherry tomatoes and we would lob them at the traffic behind us with no one seeing it, that was no one but my dad who saw what was going on in his mirror. I got a real good scolding from him. He left scolding my buddy to his dad.
