That is not the car JFK was killed in. He was shot in a dark metallic blue limousine with jump seats (Governor Connoly was riding in a jump seat in front of the President). This is a white standard convertible.

  5. I was in the sixth grade at Hayward School just west of Sioux Falls, SD and remember it like yesterday when our teacher, Mr. Erickson came in ashen faced and announced it to our class a little after 1:00 PM. Even at the age of 12 I witnessed some of the same hatred and derisiveness for JFK as their is now for Obama. Even at that age I was shocked that some friends of my parents that applauded his assassination.

I'm pretty sure that's the footballer Georgie Best, not Keith Moon.

  9. Christen Eagles. these are the production version of the Pitts S2b. The Pitts was the worlds premier aerobatic plane from the 1950s through the 1970s and still quite a fun plane, and a hand full. ;)

Pitts S-1 First flown in 1945

The first Pitts had a 65hp Cont. engine the Eagles have 200+ hp AEIO-360 Lyc.

  12. I bought plans for this very aircraft and planned on using an IO-540 Lycoming.

This is a photo of Tom Poberezny (President of the Experimental Aircraft Association), Gene Soucey (Aerobatic Exhibition), and Charlie Hilliard (Deceased in a Sea Furry Crash)

There is going to be a Stamp issued by Canadian Government, honoring Hayward & Miss Supertest Boat. The Gold Cup Races were a big deal in this area. The section of the Bay of Quinte, where races were held was renamed Hayward Reach, after his death.

Richard Crenna got a career jump-start from his role as a student
nicknamed Marblehead in the TV version of "Our Miss Brooks" with
Eve Arden in the mid-'50s. One RUNNING JOKE in the series was the
smoky, noisy jalopy he'd transport his favorite English teacher to school
in. (Part of the gag was that her daily was ALWAYS in the shop! Hey,
it was the '50s, folks! Whadya want, nudity???) Fuzzy pic is THANKS
    to myrcvideos!

ANYBODY got a clearer pic of "Marblehead's" jalopy???

Barbara Stanwiyck hugs director John Rich
on the set of "Roustabout," 1967, with the film's
star, Elvis. I like the pic because of the BandAid
on Presley's eye. He often did his own stunts for
the sake of realism and film continuity. But,
of course, a star can get whacked for such extra
effort! A Karate devotee, Elvis was pretty athletic
and loved cycles and cars, cars, cars! Even though
Elvis and Rich didn't get along, "Rousabout" was
one of the more successful Elvis formula movies
of the mid-'60s, grossing some $30 million. SO,
maybe the suffering for art's sake was WORTH it,
    after all!!!
