Pontiacs in NZ in the 1960s were sold by Dominion Motors. In Christchurch Farmers Motors sold Vauxhalls and Blackwells sold Chevs (and Buicks before that) and later, Holdens.

Pontiacs weren't only sold by Dominion motors, Other franchise holders also sold them as well. The same applied for other GM brands
In small town NZ they were sold side by side [probably sold to order]
My Grandfather bought all his new GM cars from the same dealership [Linn Motors in Waihi]

Is the first photo from Gilmore Stadium? The "movie star" presenting the trophy sure makes me think that's possible.

And then there's Art Sugai with an early version of his Pink Lady.

And on the last attached photo I want to say this is Jimmy Davies but I'm just not sure.

Yes it is Gilmore and the driver is Fred Friday but I don't know the trophy girl. Back then the midgets at Gilmore were popular with the Hollywood set, so there was no shortage of pretty young wannabe starlets willing to hand out trophies and have the chance to be seen by the celebs in attendance.
Sugai is a legend in the Northwest. It's often overlooked but I believe he gave Rick Mears his first Indy car ride back in the 70s.
Pretty sure the driver of Barzda's car is Len Duncan at Flemington mid 50s.

Its a sort of personal automatic pilot direction finder.

Nice shot of the famous Malibu Pier in Malibu, CA. It is just south of the more famous Malibu Surfrider Beach. Several movies and TV shows have been taken here at this pier:

“Filming in Malibu is very popular given the climate as well as the various beach and mountain areas it has to offer. Surfrider Beach, one of the best surfing spots in Southern California, was actually made famous by “Gidget” and Point Dume will forever be recognized from the final scene of “Planet of the Apes”. Plus, the now iconic “Baywatch” was filmed along the beaches of Malibu along with pretty much every surfer movie from the 1960’s."

The early 1950's coastal pier photo shows a black open roadster, a few 50's Ford coupes, and one 5 window coupe (Mercury?) that seems to have what could be a homemade surf rack. In talking with older surfers from this era, everyone just stuck the heavy longboards in the trunk with the rear seat removed, the open cockpit of a convertible or roadster, and on the roof with the boards tied down with ropes. A surf rack would have definitely been a first.

In scrutinizing this photo for old cars, there seems to be a 1 panel van, 1 station wagon and 1 woody. All of the rest are family coupes and sedans. They were all “vintage surf transportation” used to get them down to Malibu. This Malibu area brought them in droves back then and it is packed all summer with tons of people, surfing or not, today.

It still is one of the best coastal drives for cruising or traveling in So Cal. Instead of the heavily congested 405 freeway through the canyons, we always take the coastal drive to Santa Barbara or points north. On the drives south, the coastal drive gives us plenty of places to stop for lunch or dinner.
