The first photo shows Bob Barker in a midget that might be using one of his Barker engines although I'm not sure about that. He was just getting going with his engines when he was killed in the same plane crash that killed Mack Hellings. Mack and Bob had been friends for years and ended up being buried side by side.

You've got me with the second attached photo, Rootie. I don't recognize the car or the driver.

    Thanks!!!

That is the 1935 Graham powered Frigenor Spl. driven, I believe, by Herschell McKee. It was previously the Lucenti Spl. which still lives.

"Starring Robert Stack"..I'm a big fan too; and most of the storylines were based on fact, apparently.

  21. Hey, help me out guys. I need a picture of a 34 Ford PU by a guy named Rivera or Revero in the mid 1960's. Featured in Car Craft. It appeared as as a hot rod and as a race/ show car, chopped top with I think a nailhead. It was lime gold metal flake I think. This is the version I'm looking for, I know I've seen it on the HAMB. Search produced zip.

This DQ is about 12 miles from me.
Here is Marty Strodes' post from the Great Oregon Racers thread.
This was a local A/G, built around 62-63. It had a 409 and a B&M Hydro, he managed the DairyQueen in Newberg, Oregon. Oh, they were simpler times back then.
