Was this picture taken at the Ford Rotunda in Dearborn Michigan before it was destroyed by fire. Was only maybe three miles from our house when I was a kid.

  9. Internationals were a very popular truck in the NZ as well.

Transport Nelson had quite a few of the big D70s. This photo dates from about 1950.

  11. Post WW2 most of our trucks were imported from England. Here is a 1947 Bedford working in the early 1960s as a mobile library. This one has survived and been restored and is still working. 41327535_2164088597246670_4163490147976871936_o.jpg 41403505_2165579627058225_3849748954577108992_o.jpg

  12. The Austin was another popular truck. This one was working in 1956 delivering supplies to more remote areas.

  13. One lesser known US truck maker was Commerce. This one has just received a new body in Wellington, New Zealand, by coachbuilder Crawley Ridley. Date unknown but possibly around 1920. Commerce truck - Crawley Ridly body make info see coachbuilt dot com.jpg

I like your avatar. I had a TE-440 dragster in the mid 60's. Somehow I lived through that! I'm 74 now.
