It is said that beauty (or taste) is in the eye of the beholder. Personally speaking, that plymouth is not a good looking car, compared to the competiton in 1960. In my opinion, it's downright ugly, and yet, many people or families purhased the thing. I suspect that the car did what it was supposed to do, namely to get people from point A to point B, to get them to school or work in the morning, to take them on vacations, or to visit grandma on the weekends. Maybe it was not the best car to use to pick up women (or even hookers), but I'm sure it happened occasionaly (although probably not in SoCal).

As ugly as it is (to me), I never really thought about it. It never seemed to effect my life or interfeared with my sleeping through the night. It was ugly, and that was it.

As tense as we all seem to be these days, with 50% of the country disliking (even hating) the other 50% because of politics, the high cost of living, the gangs, the North Koreans, the people that drive too slow in the fast lanes, etc., etc., it's refreshing to read all the posts about a car I never thought about before. It's not just refreshing, it's fun. I believe we need fun in our lives, more humor, more whimsy. On the other hand, I see that there are some people that get uptight about the whole thing. I don't know if they are uptight about it because they believe that the 1960 Plymouth is a good looking vehicle, or that it takes up "too much bandwidth", or that other people see the humor in all of this.

I haven't felt this light hearted in weeks, thank you sliceddeuce..

It's just a matter of opinion. I like the Plymouth more than the others. But then it's just a matter of opinion. If we all liked the same thing, there would not have been different auto makers out there.... Variety, it's a good thing.
