I missed a few days of this thread and as usual I had 10 pages to go through, some fantastic pics guys!! Just awesome!!
I had to laugh at myself though, I was doing aeromedical retrievals after I left the military and went to a lot of serious accidents. I found myself running through probable injuries, equipment I would probably require while looking at the crashed cars. You know some of theme were obvious un-survivable incidents, scary some of them.

    Doc.

I remember going with my dad to buy a his new '67 3000 MkIII, Healey Blue, teak dash and steering wheel. Drove it out of the showroom and it was the last one they had. Learned to drive in it ten years later. I still double-clutch downshift and heel-toe my manual trans cars.

In addition to the Fuller Brush man and the Helms Bakery man, we had someone coming around with vegetables, knife sharpening and another guy selling redwood furniture. All this, in addition to the milk and ice cream man, made summer a great time. Too bad people don't get this experience today. It was a good time to meet friends. All in a suburb of Los Angeles. It's a different time now.

  18. How about burning your trash in a 55 gallon drum in the back yard and having the trash man come by once a week to dump the ashes. Or the milk man who delivers bottles of milk onto your doorstep.

    Hmm,
I still heat my house with wood,
thankfully I live next to two 40 acre almond orchards..
we dont have any natural gas, just propane,
and that's too expensive to burn for heat.

We had the "Raleigh" man, he sold all kinds of housewares out of the back of a white over black '49-'52 or so Chevy Sedan Delivery.

Had this photo on the wall in my office for ages and someone asked what the truck is, so I went looking and found H.A.M.B. I didn't find what the truck was but am blown away by all the photos on here - well done!

    Hey man Welcome!

Normal protocol here is to make an introduction thread for your first post.

Your truck appears to be a 1928 General Motors Truck (GMC) very cool photo!
