    #7 is Don Nordhorn.

    #29-Billy Cassella I think.

    #24 Gary B.

I keep thinking Boom Boom in the #5,but not sure. I can`t place the 28 or 74.

I have a funny story about Boom Boom Cannon.

At Indy he used to have himself paged over and over on the IMS intercom so car owners would hear his name.

I miss the Old garages at Indy. Do you know what year that photo was?

I spent the month helping my uncle in 1984 and I think the wood garages were gone by 86.

They don`t make em like Boom Boom Cannon anymore either.

Call me a traditionalist but I think the info in the last pic should be left for the info board. Great looking car nonetheless.

Can`t argue with you about that. A little polishing compound would take care of that,or a hair dryer and some Goo gone if that is a decal.

The car has the right looks and all the right stuff including Knobbies and those cool wide mouth injector intakes. I love it.

Don't rush to judgement. There may be some commercial implications.

Think of how good your wife would feel if you were able to write off some or all of the expenses including acquisition.

One might wonder how many fewer cars might have been restored.

If I remember right it's 1976, Larry and the rest of the guys from that time period also, the way most of them ran midgets, sprints, the crown cars, indy and the stock cars to be the USAC national champ.

Believe me, in the case of this car owner, money is no object! Millions of dollars would make no difference!

Use to have all the info with entry list's and run down sheets but lost them and a small portion of negatives in a flood in the mid eighties, I was able to save what I've posted plus so far and what I have to post in the days to come, but lost all the info, so we will have to call on our panel of experts to fill in the blanks. Thanks Rich

Nordhorn #7 was probably owned by Van Winkle. Northside Radiator Spl.

My USAC Yearbook for 1973 is not handy ATM. I have the 74 which I would have thought would contain the 1973 results and standings, but it has 1974 unlike previous editions....

hte Studebaker powered sprinter was out of Madison, In. Web Smith built it. Web ran Studebaker powered modifieds around southern In. for several years and he called them South Bend Offies and they were fast. The guy that drove for Web and his brother[Slim] also was named Smith[no relation- can not remembber his first name]. Bill Kimmel as far as I know never drove for the Smith's. Jon Petty drove the sprint car and then Web parked it for several years before he sold it.

Sprtontcar10, That car was oened by Larry Davis from Madison, In. It was #96 and was Chevy powered. It was painted by Whitt Brewer [who was Web Smith nephew]. Whitt always painted Larry's cars untill he died a few years ago.

    Re post #9105:
The Fredrickson roadster is being restored by a volunteer crew at Turner Auto Body in Kenosha, Wisconsin. I'm the unofficial PR guy for the effort and will put together a few photos of the car & some info on Ernie's career for posting later. Some photos are already up on the cageless midget thread courtesy of Bzneil.
This is a very significant midwestern car that raced for over 20 years with 4 different motors. It was a true home built with main frame rails made from alumium angle.

I had a good time at at the show, picked up a few goodies, and even got a few great deals. Josh and company were drawing a huge crowd when I walked buy. Josh, I didn't want to interrupt you when I walked by, you had a huge crowd you were entertaining, but it was awsome to see everybody Light up when they see the car.

Speedwagon, I should have emailed you so we could have met up, maybe goodguys this summer. Usac sprints run at IRP the Thursday before goodguys.

Speaking of sprints at IRP, I found a copy of the track's first program. The page below shows the original board of directors. I felt it would be interested to sprint car buffs because of the people on it.
