A couple of shots after it after it was converted to a 4 wheeler, with Freddie Agabashian and Duane Carter up. Appears he also changed the front to a Model A rear spring.

-----For all of ya wondering, I ride BMX bikes still, and Friday evening I busted a chain which almost ALWAYS results in a HARD ride over the handlebars and stright to the CONCRETE. Luckly my Face broke my fall!

...and while YES we wear Helmets and Full pads MOST the time.. This was just a warm up session... THAT BIT MY ASS!!

Below- Me riding Ray's Indoor Park 2 months ago... and me Friday. lol!

I'll know more this week. What I DO know now is the car is going up on the 12th and 13th for the Vintage days and Track time.
I do not know if it will be placed in the Museum with the other winners.
On the day of the actual race they are planning a parade lap for WINNING cars only with PAST WINNERS in the cars.. I highly doubt this car will be intrusted to ANY of the formal winners still around..;)

I'll let you know more when I know!

    Thanks guys!

I can across some pictures in my collection that I bought back in 1982 on my first trip to Eldora, from one of the great open wheel photographers of all time " Tracy Talley " , this logo is on the back of each picture. How cool is that? enjoy! :D

Dennis Torres, Gene Crucean, John Mahoney, Jimmy Dawson, Rick Lane, Tom Dick, the Horcher Bros. Jack Gladback, they were all great photgraphers, I knew all those guys well, I didn't know Tracey Talley other than to say hello, but there was always something different about his pictures, the colors were so clear, the cars almost looked like they were going to drive off of the photo.

Glen Necessary's recreation Watson Roadster. In the 90's Rodger and Ronny Ward built a number ? of Watson roadsters ( someone fill us in) Glen got what was left of one and finished it as the coil over car Johnny Boyd drove in 1961.

Glad we got a chance to meet and nice to see the respect you and your work/passion got in Friday's drivers meeting.

Also nice to see Tom Malloy's latest acquisition-Chuck Fausel's former Novi replica back on the track and with minor sprucing up (adding a set screw to the distributor mechanism) Mark Scott had it right up front with the roadsters of Larry and Bud. I believe the last time it was on track was 2006.

And driving the old uprights was not easy with three days of high winds - reminded me of carrying a sheet of drywall on a windy day.

    Okay...

    FOR INDY------

This is the "PLANS" that I have heard so far as to what, where, when, and how Indy Vintage days is going to go down..

****DO NOT HOLD ME TO THIS, I'M SURE IT IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE!!**

Friday the 13th Vintage Cars THAT ARE RUNNING DURING ON TRACK TIME will be On Pit road by Noon, in line and Ready to GO OUT ON THE TRACK. THE PUBLIC WILL NOT BE ALOWED ON PIT ROW.. You will have to have PIT CREDINTIALS to be out with the cars. The Indy Lights will be practicing during this time.. (I guess there not using the Track side pits..?) Around 2:00 pm when the Indy Lights Practice is OVER the vintage cars will get TRACK TIME. (I have heard as much as 20 min...) When there Track time is over, the cars will be taken back to therem Garages, trailers, displays, ect... ALL STATIC DISPLAY Vintage Race cars will be on display the entire day as usual to the public "elsewhere"...

Saturday Cars will be on display Somewhere on the grounds, probably close to the museum with various Vintage car owner teams "Tents & displays".

Sunday there is talk of a Concorse Style Show for the vintage cars as well.

    --------------------

That is all I have heard at this point. It could all be changed between now and then.

I don't really care.. Jim and I are just old racers. We'll show up with the cars, go where were told, do what were told, and have a Damn good time doing it!

    See ya'll there!

Sorry to all on the goof-up on the Clancey car. I had it in my mind that one of the rear axles was an un driven tag. Roootie shows photos that this was not the case.

    Best Regards,

    Tony
