Okay fella's... Here's whats up on my end.

(for those that don't know the "whole" story, I'll start at the begining)

In 1932 HARRY MILLER built TWO V-16 "Pleasure cars" for Two VERY wealthy fella's. Bill Burdon, and a guy named Emmanuel. They were 16 Cyl, Supercharged, All wheel drive, MONSTERS!! 125" Wheel Base! These were the biggest cars MILLER ever built. As with all Millers the were not only Mechanical wonders WAY ahead of there time... They were works of art! They also cost around $45,000 in 1932...

Fast forward to 2011. Both cars are LONG GONE. With the extensive collection of Original MILLER wooden Mold bucks, and original Blueprints we here at ZAKIRA'S have been hired to build THREE of them from skratch! (well, Two and a half.. One another fella is building, and were doing most of the machining and casting)

This is a MASSIVE project that will take us 2 - 4 years to complete. I'll be posting up progress reports on occasion.

    ENJOY!!

Josh, it's amazing that you guys are able to do that...even more remarkable you have customers able to pay for it. Neat to see.

Thanks for posting that film from 1958, Brian.
I sent the link to Lance Turner because the white #82 car in the opening sequence was the classic Harry Turner "look." Harry didn't have a sprint car or big car in 1958 but Lance recognizes it as his father's midget behind their station wagon. Probably there for a companion USAC event. He enjoyed seeing it in the film.

Notice the "Sam Brown belt" instead of a full shoulder harness?

By moving the stop in or out on the spring you can change the spring rate and change the chassis set-up....

Here's a shot taken a few weeks ago at the Portage (WI) Fairgrounds during my RumbleFest Preview deal...

The driver/builder is Butch Ermer who built this copy of his dad's "Big Car" that he raced from 1937-1941...

I think the duquoin video is 1956. The race winner is Jimmy Bryan in the Dean #2. I would agree on the 82 midget being Harry Turner's. During the September date all three groups raced. Midgets, sprints and the champ cars. The practice track conditions seem to show something ran before warm ups.
