Does anyone know what Ford engines Scats Anfuso used in his cars over the years?

I believe the Hilligass was powered by a Ford 292 T-Bird engine.

That is what is in the restored car. Not sure if there was a flathead in the car before the 292.

I`m not sure what they used after the 292.

Hi Lee! The track is Indianapolis Raceway Park, and I think the chassis is a Leffler or a Shores, I can't remember which, but I'm leaning towards the Leffler. I think it's from the mid 80's.

The car is a one of three Leffler cars that Paul built in '85 or '86 in his shop in Ft.Wayne. They were very similar to the, USAC winning, Armstrong Mould pavement cars.
I built the bodywork with a 2" narrower nose and a bolt on front spoiler. I still have the molds around here somewhere.
I know you guys got one of the cars but I don't know whatever happened to the other two.......

  22. I'd like to see more pics of that car. Especially the nose, I totally dig it!

ANYONE on here going to, or a part of the Vintage deal at Eldora this weekend.. for the THREE Crown?

I would like to know for sure if there running or on display Friday, How many sessions Friday and or Sat., and is it Parade laps, hot laps, or Stagged racing/parade laps?

    Thanks,

I did a lot of searching and it finally paid off! Her name is Audrey Meyer, she was "Princess Kay of the Milky Way" and is the girl your looking for.

In this series of photos you have (2) that say Jerry Richert. The old white #63 Wagner car photo doesn't seem to have a date on it. The other photos show 1979. Did you take these photos? It looks like the black #63 has a wing that has been rolled on at least once. And, is that Jerry at the side of the trailer lacing up his shoes? Back in the '60s I used to watch Jerry and Scratch Daniels in these cars in IMCA races all over the country. I loved all of the drivers, but Jerry Richert was my hero - hell he still is. The Wagner cars were the prettiest - yep, even sweeter looking than the Speedway Motors cars.

  30. Bonus! For some reason, I guess with all the noise and Rosemary Clooney coming in later----winning a big race --maybe the trophy girl reminded Leep of Hayworth.

I looked up Hayworth, (real name Marguerita Cansino), and I doubt she'd be at a state fair anywhere in those days.

Shane Carson says thank you, and he is printing the photo out and taking it to Leep today. If you want to get in touch with either, send me a pm.

    Thanks again! That was impressive
