Put some type of cage on Indy cars like those on dragsters. You would think we would learn after Mike Spence took a wheel to the head at Indy.

I'd rather see the "Cheesman" car restored as the Dunseth #16 instead of this replica of the #25. This car drives me nuts. Sorry for being grumpy-you old guys must be rubbing off haha ;)

monday Oct. 17 3 time AMA grand national Champion and 2 time USAC Indy Car Champion Joe Leonard suffered a devasting double stroke at his home Joe and his Doctors have been concened with a 70% clogged Coartive artery, due to the risk and his age, they decided not to operate. 60 days later its 100% clogged and this is the result. It was touch and go, but he has shown progress and the next 24 hrs will tell the tale. He wi......ll be transfered to an Acute rehab to help restore his abilities to function. He has memory, speech loss, and is paralyized on his entire left side. The Neurologist told us, he shouldnt have survived. Please keep him in your prayers. Joe and his Family asked that you do not attempt to visit or call. Joe has many friends and fans and each one is special, but no one will be allowed in to visit until furher notice.

Sorry to hear about Joe Leonard. Hate to see these things happen to our racing heros. They risked so much chasing their racing dreams and then they are dealt a blow like this. Just doesn't seem fair. Let's all keep Joe in our prayers.

I agree, the Cheesman Offy might be a facsimile of the original Cheesman car,
built with a spare frame built by Pankratz, but that is not "the" Cheesman Offy driven by Eddie Sachs.

Steve, so you suggest taking the last remaining pure bred racing car and turning it into a back yard home-made?

This is the second sprint car owned by Mari Hulman. The car was built by Bob DeBisshop in the winter of 1955-56.
Don Branson is seen in the car at Dayton Ohio in 1957.

Also want to give my Best Wishes for Joe Leonard. He was a true gasman in the Indy cars.
