Hello, Here is your decal/sticker in the correct angle. It was hard to get the glow of the flash or room can lights off of the Wynn's logo. JNaki As long as we are on stickers or decals, I have a request. I would like to have a photo or at least a good drawing of the original Yellow C&O Stick Hydro sticker/decal. I had a couple when I had the C&O Stick Hydro installed in my 1958 Impala. But, after 8 years of ownership and handing out plenty of Yellow C&O Stickers/Decals and a looming college ahead of me, I sold the Impala to a younger friend for his new trials and tribulations in the Bixby Knolls scene. This is a rare one from the beginning of 1960 era when the company first started and I was one of the first customers for my 58 Impala. If you have one or have access to the original yellow C&O Sticker/Decal, then please contact me via the HAMB conversation tab. I need the words on the bottom 1/2 circle of the yellow/white decal/sticker. Thank you... NOTE: When the top racers had great outfits, we tried to add to our versatility with the additions of our donated Wynn's Friction Proofing jackets. They were slightly warmer than a plain nylon windbreaker jacket. Needless to say, they drew attention and stares to our pits work and the Willys 671 Coupe. We already had several cases of Wynn's cans, but since others were going for more sponsorships, we thought we could get a couple, too. We had a big local auto parts store and were in talks with Joe Reath for a coveted Reath Automotive sponsorship with big logos on our Willys Coupe. We bought a ton of speed stuff from them and they did a lot of the engine/blower work that we could not finish. “We had hopes to get some kind of sponsorship from Wynn’s by getting noticed with our Willys C/Gas Coupe and wearing those cool jackets around Lions Dragstrip. We did get asked by the STP guy if we were sponsored by Wynn’s. Ha!” 1960 1960 Note 2: When we got stuck out in the Mojave Desert on our 100 mile Hare and Hound motorcycle races back in 63-67, those bright Wynn's Friction Proofing Jackets helped us get noticed from others to tell our pit crew where we were. We knew that someone would see us and help. They also made a nice shade cover and bright "notice me" colors to get help.
Not vintage, but it does commemorate an old, historic club with more than a few notable members. Sorry about the shadow, cell phone photo taken on a roll away tool chest.
First three are stickers, Blue Mountains is from an Australian club, NSRA from when it really meant something and the R&C speaks for itself. If the Riverside water slide wasn’t all cracked and ready to disintegrate in water I’d put it on my Fordor.
That is very unique! I am sure not too many folks know about DST and their contribution to drag racing. If you decide to reproduce the decal put me on the list.
I was not aware of that. They probably no longer build limited production stuff for the manufacturers.
