OK so iI get this tach from a friend and try to get it ready to install. As I open it up to make sure all is ok this is what I find. I am sure that sun didnt do this and was wondering what the ***. Any help would be appreciated. By the way it is a V6 tach. and was going to try to use it on a V8. There looks to be an adjuster of some sort where the spring connects.

They made some that looked like the tachs that used sending units. You can tell at a glance at swap meets etc by the cup, they are longer to house that circuit board.
