I have collected a few over the years, before they became expensive. These are the ones not being used, currently. Most have cups. Three of them are mechanical, probably from trucks. I thought about having a gear reducer built to half the RPM and refaced them to be 9 or 10 thousand. 20230519_194146 (2).jpg 20230519_194451 (2).jpg 20230519_184930 (2).jpg 20230519_195813 (2).jpg 20230519_195914 (2).jpg 20230520_144431 (2).jpg 20230519_195239 (2).jpg

I own a 1965 mustang and it's definitely a driver car over a show car. I recently drove it coast to coast (NYC to LA in about 5 days). Because I am on a budget, I bought a gauge cluster called a rally kit for my mustang. Mine is a 3d printed so it uses 52 mm or 2 1/16" gauges. Does anyone make a vintage tach that fits this size? I found this one ebay but not sure of diameter. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1859845896...uid=T9trieR3TP6&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

The model number is it-471 i think.

There are limited options in this car. I am trying to have a 6,000 rpm tach because engine is nearly stock. I have had the tach mounted to the column before, I might fo back that way

Picked up this combo today for a solid $80 and think I came out pretty good. Sun IT-466 and EB-9 transmitter.Am I correct in believing this a a one piece transistorized tach? Guy said he had this transmitter and tach hooked up together on his '40 Ford coupe with an Olds Rocket 88 motor, but after everything I've been reading points me to that being unnecessary? He did say he pulled them off back 36 years ago, so maybe he misremembered. EB-9 seems like an early-mid 50s module, compared to the later EB-9A I've seen from the 60s...

@GhengisKong I have two Sun tachs an IT-251 and IT-261 and the label on the back of each is identical to yours except for the Model number. I have wired the 261 and had it running on my car without using a transmitter, just connected direct to coil, ignition and ground so you should be able to wire it as shown on the label/nameplate.
