Hot Rods Visiting Rock Hill SC for work........

  1. Hi Guys, will be in Covington GA for work 10th--16th August (from Australia)
    I am probably going to have some free time and a Rental car.
    Shops, Museums, events, Mid week cruise night maybe ? - what is worth visiting within a few hours drive ?
    any help much appreciated

    Apologies guys - messed up the title - Actually heading to Covington GA not Rock Hill SC - Lucky i checked !!

    Might want to change the title then. I'm not familiar with that area, but can bump it for you. I did this same thing when I was in Australia and found some great hosts down there. :cool:

    Plenty of Nascar history up & down the see board, Dawsonville Ga. comes to mind & the Bill Elliot Museum, Josh Mills & others had rod shops in Marietta Ga. not sure if still around, & of course plenty in North & South Carolina if able to venture out that far.

    Rock Hill SC is about an hour or so from Mooresville/Charlotte NC which is the hub of NASCAR. Plenty of race shops to tour, NASCAR museum and both dirt and asphalt short track racing. There is also Caffeine and Octane in Atlanta Ga, a very large monthly car show once a month if the timing works out. I’m sure there are also Cruise Ins within easy driving range depending on when you will be there. You would just have to Google them.
