Oh that's right YOU are the one that organizes it and puts in tons of work every year making sure that Tom, The Gold Coast, The LVPD and the participants are all equally happy, good work man, keep it goin'.

 

We wil be cruisin' by VLV10 in my buddy's '58 Bel Air, on our Route 66 trip.
We'll be driving from NJ to IL, start our Route 66 trip. Take a detour from AZ up to Vegas and then continiue after VLV.

I was around when Dave had his problem and he hasn't been back since, which is a loss for Viva. That was long ago and people seemed to have grown up a bunch since then. I'm gonna get him back out there one of these years.

I've never had a problem at Viva and it's what I most look forward to every year. Hell, they even awarded me best Hot Rod last year so paint obviously is acceptable. The Shifters do a wonderful job, especially since there is like 7 or 8 of them and 8-10 thousand people coming through the show.

Don't knock it 'till you try try it Roger. And, they would love your Kustom.

First and foremost Viva Las Vegas is a music festival and the Shifters car show is a satellite of that, not the other way around. And, the Car Show has grown into something great.....at least for me. If you don't get it, that's fine, just do something else to have fun with your car. But ******* on Axles shoes will make you no friends here because those guys work their ***es off to do the show. Sometimes they work to overcome huge obstacles (usually participants) just to keep the show going. So, credit where credit is due.

Johnnie...NOT from what I've read here on the HAMB...in spite of my '57 being a true 60's survivor.

Besides, I quit drinking and carousing many years ago...and that's all I've read about when it comes to Viva ...beer, liquor and cars do not mix...especially in a place like Vegas.

Thanx for the invite Johnnie...and you're right...I probably shouldn't knock it til I've tried it...but that's not going to happen...I prefer to go to events where the attendees are at least civilized, and halfway knowledgeable, about true survivor kustoms.

• All cars must be pre-registered.
• Cars may only be registered by those purchasing VLV10 wristbands. Purchase now.
• The car show is on Saturday April 7, 2007, from 8:00AM – 4:00PM.
• Pre-registered cars will be allowed to park in the lot from Thursday onwards.
• Outside the car show hours, pedestrian access will be restricted.
• During the car show hours, no vehicle may be moved or driven around.
• Pedestrians will have free access to the car show 8am – 4pm on the Saturday.
• All vehicles must be Pre-1963.
• No motorcycles.
