I saw this today & thought that I would drag it over here. I posted it in the HA/GR part of the HAMB since I figured you guys would like it & it wouldn't get lost on page 75 of the main board. Viva' Dragsters........I wish that I spoke french. Lot's of great vintage racing & I think that it was 'LIONS' back in the day. http://www.ina.fr/media/entretiens/video/CPF04008049/les-dragsters.fr.html Chris Nelson Kansas
Chris -- Thanks for posting the video, great to see the cars running back in the day & some that have been restored and show up at the March Meet & CHHR at Famoso. That is defiantly LIONS DRAG STRIP, can see the 405 Freeway in the back ground. Spent many Fri nights there as a punk high school racer with my 1950 Oldsmobile.
This really great footage of the Lions strip. I tried to save it to my computor but I can't seem to do that. I right clicked the movie but it wouldn't go to save. It has the only picture I have sen of a good friend of mine Jim Shores when he pardners with Skip Hess. They had an Anglia B gasser, Jim had the engine and Hess had the car. Wish was a Computor whiz.
