I hate to have to ask on such an event. I went through the VLV website and can't find any details. I'm heading up from Tucson on Friday night and need to know where in the hell to go. Any hotels/motels in the area of the show for a decent price. What's going on Saturday night? Anything you can tell me is appreciated. Thanks all.

The show is at the Gold Coast. I guess you can get directions when you get into town. As far as Vegas is concerned, most rooms are around $60 per night, and if you got a car, you can stay at any hotel and get back and forth to the show. There are ALWAYS events going on so I don't imagine this little hot rod show will drive the prices of rooms up too bad. The Gold Coast is probably booked up, but check around for other places nearby.
You may want to check out Hotels.com TODAY and try to get a room fairly cheap through them. Most casinos just want you THERE so the rooms (and airfare when applicable) stay fairly cheap and uniformly priced, as long as you are there they figure you'll be losing money at the tables.

My understanding on room rates for VLV is that if you don't buy the VLV wrist band (for the bands) you don't get the cheaper room rates.

The car show is free - upper level of the Gold Coast ****ng lot.

I don't think they check, as we booked our room before Christmas, and just told them we were going to VLV & they said, ok fine. We got the rate!

There's a lot of rooms in Vegas, even getting one over Easter shouldn't be too hard.

    Enjoy the fun!

    Dave.

The car show is pretty much the whole weekend really. Theres allways a bunch of cars and people drining and hanging out and having a good time, even in the rain, up on the parking lot.

But Saturday is the "official" day.

The thing is that I am basically in the middle of what seems to be 2 incredible car shows. The central Avenue cruise in Phoenix and VLV. Vegas is 3 hours away, while phoenix is 1.5 hours away. Decisions, decisions.

  10. I am sure the AZ one is great, but I bet it doesnt beat Vegas for cars us Hambers like..
