Volvo steering box in a shoebox ford

    Anyone familiar with this? I've heard of people doing it, but I was wondering what models and what years to get em from. And what the benfits and modifications that are needed to make it work

    It's a well-known swap. I just did it in my '50, but haven't driven it yet. Call Fatman Fabrications and have them send you the mounting bracket.
    Lots of shoebox information on the HAMB, pretty quick to find using the search engine.

  3. I installed one in mine about 6 years ago. In my opinion, this is the single biggest improvement that can be made to a stock front end. Sway bar and gas shocks are 2nd and 3rd. It's pretty much a bolt in except for the typical column mods. I also kept my shift linkage on the column to operate my AOD.
